County Links

County of Sonoma - The starting point for all things Sonoma County.

Economic Development Board- provides assistance services directed toward encouraging the startup, retention and expansion of Sonoma County businesses and jobs, particularly with small businesses; creation of new jobs and employment opportunities; and diversification of economic activity and strengthening the County's tax base.

The North Bay Employment Connection (NBEC) is a collaboration between the four Workforce Investment Boards of Sonoma county, Solano county, Napa county, and Marin county in the northern San Francisco Bay Area of California.

Sonoma County 211 - is a partnership of the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County, United Way, and the County of Sonoma. People can call 211 and talk to specially trained volunteers about finding local services, emergency services, places to volunteer, and more.

Sonoma County Job Link- Sonoma County Job Link is part of a nation-wide network of career centers that were developed to provide employment and training services for job seekers, job changers, and businesses. The names of these One-Stop centers may differ; however, all the centers share the same goal: to provide universal access to employment and training resources for job seekers, job changers, and businesses.

Sonoma County Employer Advisory Council (EAC)- Make a difference in your business and community. Get connected to the Sonoma County Employer Advisory Council (EAC).

Sonoma County Youth Ecology Corps- The Sonoma County Youth Ecology Corps (SCYEC) is a jobs, workforce training and ecosystem education program aimed at employing youth and young adults while teaching them about environmental stewardship. The SCYEC provides youth and young adults paychecks, valuable work experience, environmental education, and the opportunity to contribute to their community through ongoing outdoor experiences.

California Employment Development Department - The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest state departments with employees at hundreds of service locations throughout the state. For more than 70 years, EDD has connected millions of job seekers and employers in an effort to build the economy of the Golden State.
On the site, there is an online job and résumé bank, CalJOBSSM, which contains thousands of job openings and the largest pool of candidates in the state; Labor market tools designed to help you make educated decisions, Information on filing an Unemployment Insurance, Disability Insurance, or Paid Family Leave claim; Payroll tax information and forms; and an array of employment and training services.

California Workforce Association - The California Workforce Association is a non-profit membership organization that develops public policy strategies and builds local capacity to address critical workforce issues. CWA represents the Workforce Investment Boards, One-Stop Career Centers and other workforce development partners in California. Members include local non-profits, government, educational institutions and community based organizations involved in training, education, economic development, welfare, and employment.

California Workforce Investment Board - Established by Executive Order in response to the mandate of the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998 (Public Law 105-220), the Board assists the Governor in setting and guiding policy in the area of workforce development.

Dept. of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics- Western Region - The Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor is the principal Federal agency responsible for measuring labor market activity, working conditions, and price changes in the economy. Its mission is to collect, analyze, and disseminate essential economic information to support public and private decision-making. As an independent statistical agency, BLS serves its diverse user communities by providing products and services that are objective, timely, accurate, and relevant.

U.S. Dept. of Labor, Employment & Training - The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) administers federal government job training and worker dislocation programs, federal grants to states for public employment service programs, and unemployment insurance benefits. These services are primarily provided through state and local workforce development systems.
