Youth Education & Employment Services
This RFP closed on January 19, 2012. It is scheduled for procurement again in 2014.
The Sonoma County Human Services Department, Employment & Training Division (County), is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Youth Education & Employment Services (YEES) program. The program is based on the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998 to make available 10 required program elements to youth who are served by the WIA funds. These program elements are designed to fill the gaps in the lives of youth who may lack the family, educational, and/or social framework to prepare them in making a successful transition to adulthood and further education and employment opportunities. The Youth Education & Employment Services program also includes the Sonoma County Youth Ecology Corps (SCYEC).

Career Development Workshop Facilitators
This RFA closed on February 3, 2011. It is scheduled for procurement again in 2013.
The Sonoma County Human Services Department (HSD), Employment & Training Division, is issuing this Request for Applications (RFA) for facilitators to provide various job search and career development workshops for Job Link customers. These workshops are intended to assist job seekers in obtaining or retaining employment.

SonomaWORKS Employment Services
This RFP closed on December 14, 2010. It is scheduled for procurement again in 2013.
The Employment Services program provides assistance to SonomaWORKS participants in preparing for and finding unsubsidized employment. The long-term goal of SonomaWORKS is to have program participants become self-sufficient: able to meet their basic needs of housing, food, child care, transportation, clothing, and related work expenses without the need for public assistance.

Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Child Care Support Services
This RFP closed on December 14, 2010. It is scheduled for procurement again in 2013.
The selected service provider will provide child care resources and referrals to participants referred by the County, in order to assist them in locating and paying for a child care provider during job training. The provider will also be responsible for administrating and making payments to child care providers, based on County policies.
